What a first month of the season! We started on September 12th, in the teeth of a hurricane. The last day was September 30th, one of the hottest September days since records began.
However, our keepers and their teams pulled out all the stops and some fantastic shooting was had by all,

"It had been a memorable start to the 2011 pheasant season, which will no doubt be talked about for years to come for its heat. All in all it was a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxed day in good company-who can ask for more." -
"Just a quick email to tell you once again how much I enjoyed the shoot yesterday. It was so well organised and everyone, Guns, Keepers, Beaters and Staff was truly nice and welcoming. I’m looking forward to coming back again in the near future." -
"On such a sunny and hot day you skillfully produced a very sporting day's shooting together with very good company and dress sense! The quality of birds shown is a credit to you and your staff, as several shoots have experienced poor showing and lack lustre flying this season so far. The duck drive to finish was just something else, I did not expect reared ducks to be so sporting in bright sunshine. We both thought that the catering was exquisite. Very best wishes and good shooting for the rest of the season."
