CLA Game Fair Blenheim Palace 22nd-24th July
Once again, we are having a stand with Gunsonpegs. They are having the first ever two-storey stand at a CLA Game Fair. It will be located at the head of Gunmakers row. There will be a hospitality area on the top storey which will have a spectacular panoramic view of the main arena and the showground itself. As last year MG&S will have a prominent double spot.
So, please come and see us at our stand. Have a drink, put your feet up and enjoy the best view on the showground! Have a chat with Linda about what we still have left for the coming season. Please feel free to leave bags or purchases with us while you carry on looking around.

Extra New Drives At Narford Hall
For this coming season, the pigs at Narford Hall are going to be moved thus allowing us to use five new drives in the wooded areas between the lunch hut and Narford Hall. Pat and helpers have extended the main pen and put up another pen in the area, so we will have plenty of birds to give us great drives in Keeper's Wood and other woods there including Indomnible, Americas, Out Riders, Keeper's Wood and Thirty Acres. Last season we had some great times in Keeper's Wood so we are really excited about these additional wooded drives. Also we have put cover in at Eyetrap. This should give us a great drive with the Guns having their backs to the Hall. |

Extra Drives at Great Hockham Too!!!
We also have obtained the use of some extra land and drives at Great Hockham. With Partridges being put down on the Shropham side for the first time since we have been running the shoot, it will be great to see how these new drives work out this coming season!! |

New Style MGS Website
We do get a lot of compliments about our website.
Can you believe, last month we had 6,800 hits...in one month! However, we recognised that the home page was getting a bit cluttered, so we have now
had a redesign.
Have a look on www.norfolkshoots.co.uk.

The Game Farm Is Getting Full, But We Still Have A Few More Pheasant Poults To Sell!
At the time of writing, the Game Farm is nearly full. We have had the highest hatching percentage ever, so we have had to enlarge our rearing facilities.
We still have 3,800 pheasant poults to sell, so if you know of any local shoots that would like a few of our last seven week pheasant poults, click here or call Philip Milburn on 07802 546175 anytime.

Meet the Lads at the Game Farm!
The lads are really working hard at the Game Farm. I know that some Guns arrive on a shoot day without giving any thought to how much work goes into a shoot, 365 days of the year (well, actually with us it's 364 days...everyone has February 2nd off!)
The birds in the Game Farm require constant 24/7 supervision. Even something like a heavy rain storm hitting the shed roofs can spook the partridges and get them to huddle and smother themselves. This photo is of the full & part time staff that look after the birds. Well done for all your hard work lads!! |
Don't Forget, There's Stalking Too
Don’t forget we offer deer stalking on the Quidenham Estate. We have 5,000 acres of prime land close to Thetford Forest with an abundance of muntjac, roe and red deer including trophy and representative heads. The roe bucks will be rutting in the last two weeks of July and the beginning of August making it a really exciting time to hunt. For those trophy shooters amongst you, we generally see the Red Stags starting to come onto the Estate from August on.
We have several Estate rifles, and at the moment, hire of a rifle is free, and we pay for the ammo. Please contact us for further details and prices for deer stalking.

Walked Up and Woodcock Days
We can fit in a small number of additional Walked-Up days and Woodcock days. These are mainly hosted at our Great Hockham Estate.
