RECENT STALKING

We have had a great few weeks with the roe bucks. Lots of deer were seen, some of which were really good quality animals. Here’s just a few of the recent pictures taken by stalkers on the Estate.

However, it’s now getting near to the end of the roe bucks and time for the reds. We are anticipating some good red stags coming onto the Estate in late September into October.

Along with the reds, we also have a significant number of muntjac all over the Estate.

GAME TO COOK

Within the next two weeks, we will have a variety of venison joints available including saddles and boned and rolled haunches plus steaks and venison sausages. If you would like to receive details of our meat products, please register your interest here.

Here is the recently acquired chilled van, which will be used for delivering meat to local customers, butchers, restaurants, hotels and wholesalers.

ESTATE RIFLES

If you would like to stalk with us but don’t have a gun this is not a problem! Stalkers can have use of the Estates rifles and ammunition at NO COST. Simply advise us on booking that you need the loan of a gun.

STALKING STORIES

We were recently joined by young stalker, Chris Jaymes, who had a terrific time at Quidenham. Chris comments “It was my first ever time stalking so naturally I was a bit nervous. Charlie, the Guide, was really brilliant. He really kept me calm and was very helpful. We saw lots of deer including loads of roe does but they were out of season at the time. I also saw some muntjacs that I didn't fire at because they were with their young. I really enjoyed being out in the Quidenham woods”

In all, Chris had two afternoon stalks and one morning stalk and was delighted with the three muntjac and roe buck he got. He adds, “I'd love to come again. I've got to try and get some time off though, as now I'm a full time Under Keeper.”

We enjoyed a terrific weekend at the CLA Game Fair in late July.
